NTF Food Safety Leaders Talk Turkey
NTF's food safety leaders were hard at work in Washington, D.C. last week. Technical and Regulatory Committee Co-Chairmen Tom Smith of Jennie-O and Kevin Atkins of Perdue Farms, Butterball's Alice Johnson and Prestage Foods' Ben Roman made tracks around Capitol Hill to voice food safety priorities for the turkey industry. With the 2023 Farm Bill and Agriculture Appropriations Spending package ahead, NTF members are committed to strengthening food safety measures in the poultry industry at the federal level.
