NORTH CAROLINA POULTRY FEDERATION NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND MEMBER SERVICES

Raleigh, N.C., January 6, 2026 - The North Carolina Poultry Federation (NCPF) announced today that Valerie Sherman has accepted a full-time role as Director of Operations and Member Services. Valerie has been a key member of the NCPF team for many years, bringing exceptional expertise and a proven record of operational success. This expanded role will further strengthen the Federation and enhance its ability to serve members effectively.

"We are excited to welcome Valerie to this full-time position. Her dedication to our operations and members has been invaluable, and this transition ensures continued excellence and stability for our organization," said Executive Director, Summer Lanier.

As Director of Operations and Member Services, Valerie will lead daily operations and enhance member engagement, overseeing internal processes, financial management, and strategic initiatives while driving programs that strengthen member satisfaction and retention. The position also manages communications, coordinates events, and fosters partnerships to advance the poultry industry in North Carolina. Valerie brings excellent leadership experience in operations and member services, strong communication skills, and a commitment to the Federation's mission.

Valerie says, "I'm thrilled and deeply grateful for the opportunity to shift to full-time engagement. This expansion reflects trust and shared vision, and I'm excited to contribute even more value as we move forward together."

Raised in Brunswick County, North Carolina, Valerie continued her education at Peace College and North Carolina State University, where she earned a degree in Sociology. She began her professional career in pharmaceutical advertising and marketing, gaining experience in client relations, strategic communication, and organizational support. In 2018, Valerie transitioned into the agricultural sector, joining the North Carolina Poultry Federation as a part-time employee. Since then, she has played an integral role in the organization, overseeing office management, coordinating events, managing member services, and contributing to a wide range of administrative and operational initiatives that support the Federation's mission. Valerie currently lives in Johnston County with her husband, Paul, and their two children, Isabel (18) and Jack (16).
