NCPF Annual Meeting 2022
NC Poultry Federation Announces 2022 Environmental Award Winner & Board of Directors
Greensboro, NC - The Grandover Resort & Conference Center was the venue for the North Carolina Poultry Federation's Annual Meeting on October 5-7. The 55th Annual Meeting of the Federation included the election of the 2022-23 Board of Directors, the Awards Banquet with a keynote address by CoBank Lead Protein Analyst Brian Earnest as well as both a golf and sporting clays tournament.
Outgoing NCPF President Dr. Alice Johnson presented the 2022 Environmental Award to Eddie & Noreen Dail of Eddie Dail Farm of Tarboro, NC - a broiler operation contracting with Perdue Farms-Lewiston. Accepting the Award for Eddie Dail Farm was Scott Dail and Noreen Dail. The Past President's Award was presented to Dr. Alice Johnson of Butterball, LLC. by Scott Vanhoy of Perdue Farms.
The 2022-23 Executive Board members are Scott Vanhoy of Perdue Farms, President; Jarrod Lowery of Mountaire Farms, 1st Vice President; Marty Parsons of Tyson Foods, 2nd Vice President; Clay Lindley or Perdue Farms, Secretary-Treasurer; and Dr. Alice Johnson or Butterball, LLC., Immediate Past President.
Board Members for 2022-23 include: Chandler Adams representing the Carolina Feed Association, David Anderson of Anderson Consulting, Tommy Furlough of Cal-Maine Foods, Jeff Hancock of Unicon, Todd Huneycutt of Huneycutt Brothers Farm, Willie Jervis of Braswell Family Farms, Dr. Alice Johnson of Butterball, Bob Johnson of House of Raeford, Cowan Johnson of House of Raeford, Terry Maness of Perdue Foods, Bill Massey of Mountaire Farms, Darryl Moore representing the Breeder Hatchery Association, Connie Smith of Darling Ingredients, Ronnie Parker of Circle-S-Ranch, Jon Pope of Jonathan Pope Farms, Tommy Porter, Jr. of Porter Farms, Scott Prestage of Prestage Farms, Charles Rigdon of Case Farms, Alex Simpson of Simpson's Eggs, Adam Smith of Wayne-Sanderson Farms; Mike Tamimi of Wayne-Sanderson Farms; Tim Thomas or Butterball, Mark Whitt of International Paper, Richard Williams of Pilgrim's Pride and Matthew Wooten of Wayne-Sanderson Farms.
Golf Tournament Champions were Seth Kivett and Brad Gee and Runner-ups were Jim Hipple and Micah Abernathy. Sporting Clays Tournament winner was Eli Purvis of Mountaire Farms.
