Government Relations and Public Policy

NCPF serves as the primary liaison between industry and state governments

• Maintain regular contact and positive relationships with members of the general assembly, state government agencies and key decision-makers
• Develop and promote sound policies that support the industry and meet challenges
• Develop industry-wide consensus on critical issues facing the industry
• Include key government officials in NCPF meetings and events

Public and Media Relations

• Serve as an information center for the general public and the media on issues related to the poultry industry
• Develop and distribute press releases on current events affecting our industry
• Active and supporting member of the North Carolina Animal Agriculture Coalition
• Host the Annual Grower Environmental Awards Ceremony
• Host the Annual Allied Industry Award Ceremony
• Host the Distinguished Service Award Ceremony

Member Services

• Serve as advocate and information clearing house for each member on various industry issues such as agricultural tax credits, local zoning issues and nutrient management plans
• Conduct ongoing educational efforts including tours, seminars, meetings and special events
• Provide networking opportunities through events such as the Hall of Fame Luncheon, Annual Meeting, Annual Golf Tournament and Annual Sporting Clays Tournament
